The Oakwood Group has expanded our North American floorspace and added several manufacturing jobs at our Taylor, Michigan, USA plant. The demand for our patented safety product (SafetyPlastic®) continues to grow rapidly driving the need for additional equipment and personnel. We have worked very diligently to grow our domestic presence with existing customers, as well as, Asian markets. This work has been ongoing since before the ‘great recession’ began allowing us to grow when most companies were downsizing,” says President Dick Audi. The addition of 75,000 square feet paves the way for new equipment necessary to support increased volumes driven by our market share gains and the automotive recovery. Oakwood currently enjoys a trade surplus from our plant as our products are used worldwide.
